Academic Projects
Kinetic Community
Human being as an individual is exposed to lots of changes during his lifetime and loves to change and upgrade his belongings. The only asset that cannot be regularly altered is his residence.
What if the individual has the freedom to customize his residence based on his need?
The aim of the thesis is to create spaces as a part of the living environment which is flexible enough to be altered during the rise in need and reverted back to the original position when its requirement has been met.
Art Gallery
When the project was proposed a basic study on the existing art galleries in the locality was made, I observed that these galleries are not well known and are not visited regularly. This lead me to the study of places which drew in more attraction in the city. Based on my observations, Parks were the major crowd drawing areas within the city. This led me to the development of the idea of integrating a public park into which the art gallery was incorporated. This solved the question of will people visit and in order to make the people enter into the gallery a variety of surprise elements and peak spots were developed to lure in the visitors.
Urban Design
Historic town of Poompuhar
Poompuhar is an ancient port town of Chola rulers located in Nagapattinam district in the state of TamilNadu ,India. Keezhayur zone in poompuhar was chosen for the study with it being a major tourist attraction witnessing a major footfall and lacking proper infrastructure facilities. The proposal involved revitalizing existing abandoned structures and the development of a tourist village. The proposals were designed in such a way that it brings back the historic timeline to the present day scenario which impacts awareness about the rich culture to the people.
Dental Clinic
The project was introduced as a time problem which had a dead line of 30 days with weekly reviews to examine the projects status. The prime focus was to break the stereotypical hospital environment considering users of all ages in mind and making the clinic barrier friendly. The physiological feeling of being in an hospital is suppressed by addition of elements such as the children’s play area and the design ideology of the consultation rooms. Simple solutions provided to overcome complex emotions.
Live Projects

The House of five elements
The villa is located in Madurai, Tamilnadu. The client had a requirement of a grand residence with ample amount of garden and open spaces. The house is designed considering the five elements of nature incorporated within the internal spaces. The villa planning is done using angles and the sides of the triangles are made into open areas. The central courtyard opens up along all the sides connecting the garden, pond area, open kitchen and a lavish skylight area giving a sense of a eternal openness.
Compilation of
Technical Drawings
The following is a compilation of a few technical drawings of various projects. The technical drawings holds details of floor plans, working drawings, sectional details, construction details, Compound wall and gate details, elevation cut sections and elevation detail drawings to help with the construction of the projects. These drawings are issued to site at regular intervals and are coordinated so as to ensure the output is as designed.
Interior Design Projects
The Drug Store Pharmacy
The project was to design the interiors of a pharmacy but not in the traditional way. The design was done to make it look like a showroom and not to have a feeling of a pharmacy. The locality was studied before the designing and it was identified as a place where lot of people above 60s reside. The road where the pharmacy is located has less vehicular traffic and mostly people use it for walking so a lounge area was implemented into the pharmacy so that the people who come here would relax a bit from their walk, while their medicine is being packed. The medicine boxes were shifted inside the counters where it is not visible to the public whereas other hygiene, essential, baby products and elderly care products were kept on displays so that the customers can pick and choose.
Restaurant Interior
for Park hotels
The design brief was to design a interior for a restaurant in a Egyptian theme. The challenge was taken up and it was made sure that every element follows the theme. The columns in the visible portions were plastered and made into Egyptian inscriptions. The ceiling was designed in such a way it looks cracked and light is coming into it and Egyptian art works were stained in the lights above. The central buffet table was made with toughened glass in the bottom and sand was filled inside and few artifacts like treasure maps, torches, mummies, and treasure chests were kept to make it more exciting.
Jewellery Store Interior
The store was to be designed in a narrow plot which had to have space for displays, mirrors, billing counter, sales men counters and customer seating area without making the interior look crowded. The challenge was taken up and a simple design was proposed yet it housed all the necessary requirements and the design was executed.
